Artist Statement
A well-timed post on social media brought five schooner sails to my yard, two of which I lugged up a rocky, moss covered trail to transform my stick house into a billowy sanctuary.
Sailhouse is both a culmination and an opening in my life’s healing journey. Having spent a lot of energy vying for space as a human, in solace, I created order from chaos. I allowed myself to languish in the safe beauty of the physical surroundings and evolving structure.
I played with gravity, weather, and my own strength to discover connections to and inspiration from daily life which deepened my spiritual growth.
I invite you to have a look this upcoming Summer.
I’ll show you the way. Sailhouse is my monument to permanent impermanence. It is a meditation space and tool for processing hard thoughts. The medicinal plants growing nearby deepened my soul healing on multi cosmic layers during the entire building process.
Biography
I raised three kids in this community while studying and practicing holistic wellness. Through many intense spiritual experiences, I was directed to create healing space. I’m so honored to share this work.
