Volunteer opportunities at the Library

Whether you enjoy the quiet inside the library bookshelves, the physical labor of setting up an event or something in-between, chances are the Southwest Harbor Public Library could use your help. The library is always looking for new volunteers to join the ranks and help our frugal library spend its resources carefully.

There are a variety of possible jobs listed below. Some are one-time and take place on a specific day/time, some are on-going at your own pace, and others are on-going by schedule. You can sign-up for the type of job & schedule that is right for you.

At the Southwest Harbor Public Library, volunteers help maintain the Library premises, re-stock checked out books and magazines, plan, set-up and carry out the many, many events every year and so much more.

If you would like to help out with any of these jobs, please download the Volunteer Application, call or ask at the at front desk. Thank you!
