This is a very fun short chapter book with colored illustrations. It’s a lively story with plenty of action and entertaining characters. It’s not an Early Reader but accessible to younger readers who can handle chapter books. Two mermaid friends go off for adventure and find themselves in trouble with a hideous couple who want to collect them. The “two legs” are reminiscent of Roald Dahl characters but in general the story is a sweet one.
