I enjoyed this book very much and especially appreciate the way the friendship developed. I hope it will encourage kids to give each other a second chance and help them accept differences. I remember the thrill I felt reading The Prince and the Dressmaker, the author’s previous book. This book is quieter and pales a bit by comparison; but it’s really good. It’s a whole different vibe that should resonate with many middle school kids.
