Whew! This compelling survival story about a wildfire in Maine reads like wildfire too! How these kids survived and if they would, pulls the reader forward at breakneck speed. Evacuated from summer camp when the fire starts, two kids go missing and eventually join up for the race of their lives. Survival skills taught by family members of both kids make a critical difference. This will be our first book club book. I look forward to reading the author’s other books.
