This is a charming animal fantasy where the hero is  little chipmunk who has trouble in school. When he makes a fabulous discovery he must rise to meet some very challenging circumstances that reveal his strength of character. The book ends before the adventure though so I’ll be reading the second one called Brambleheart #2: Bayberry Island: An Adventure about Friendship and the Journey Home This is a sweet and engaging story for those young readers who are reading beyond the first chapter book stage but not quite ready for older content.
